Camille Dolard, Self-Portrait in Painting Studio ca 1843
Camille Dolard (1810-1884) was another painter who took an early interest in photography; he worked with Nadar between 1850 and 1860. This self-portrait, taken with a large plate and a camera designed by Dolard, required him to remain perfectly still for well over a minute.
